Performances are so exciting for students, giving them the opportunity to perform on stage in a theatre. For many our End of Year Concert will be an opportunity to gain some wonderful memories that will last them a lifetime. For others it may be the beginning of a future career.

2026 End of Year Concert 

Coppelia and Back to Broadway 

    

Performances:  Saturday 5th and Sunday  6th December.      

Rehearsals:  Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd December.

Sayers Dance Centre is proud to be bringing Coppelia to the stage for our end of year concert in December. Every two years we put on a traditional ballet such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and this year Coppelia. This is one of our favourite ballets to perform and we know it is going to be loved by our students and audiences alike. This ballet will be preceded by a spectacular showcase of all our wonderful jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theatre groups - Back to Broadway.  

 

Every class except Tiny Toes, Toddler, Open Class, and Adult Ballet is invited to be involved in this fabulous production.  As performing in the concert is optional, we need you to confirm your child’s participation before Monday 3rd August by completing our concert form.

We will consider you are fully committed when you have paid your concert levy which is NON-REFUNDABLE. The concert levy is per family and is dependent on how many items your children are in as follows.

 

One item/class per family in concert = $140    

Two items/classes per family in concert = $230      

Three items/classes per family in concert = $320    

Four items/classes per family in concert = $410     

Five items/classes per family in concert = $470   

Six or more items/classes per family in concert = $500   

This includes costume hire, concert T Shirt and a link to a video of your performance 

 

 

Before you commit to the concert and pay the levy:

1. Please check that your children are available for rehearsals on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd December (they may be required on one or both days). Times and days will be confirmed by September.  

2. Although many of the students will only be required for one performance, we ask that you make sure that your children are available on both days (Saturday 5th and Sunday 7th December) of the concerts until we have confirmed the times and days. Times and days will be confirmed by September. 

3. Consider whether your children are going to miss a lot of classes. The concert is a team effort and if performers miss too many classes or rehearsals, they let the whole team down.  

4. Read all the attached information about expectations and procedures to ensure that there are no hidden surprises further down the track. 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Those children that cannot take part in the performance will still fully participate in all classes and will learn the concert dance like everyone else. They will learn many important performance skills, develop their ability to retain choreography, and have the especially vital role of being a rehearsal understudy.

Day of Dance Charity Concert: June 21st, 2026​

We raised $50,000 this year, 2026. We were able to donate our half to the Qld Brain Institute. Thankyou to all who performed and the the families for supporting us by purchasing tickets and to those who donated to and purchased raffle tickets. ​

​

Over the years Sayers had supported the Endeavour Foundation and YoungCare. In 2026 we will be supporting the Queensland Brain Institute. Many families are affected by Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's and other Neurological Diseases. We hope our donation goes far to support QBI and the amazing research they are doing to find answers to these life changing diseases.  Premier Dance will donate to Mater Little Miracles.   

In 2025, the Day of Dance - Charity Gala raised $40,000 which was then divided between these two wonderful organisations.    

This is one of the highlights of our year at Sayers Dance Centre for both students and staff, all of whom volunteer their time on the day to present this fantastic event. 

​

Participation in these shows is a two term ,one semester commitment.  The students learn their dances in Terms 1 & 2, polishing them during Term 2 so they are ready to perform at St Peter’s Lutheran College, Indooroopilly. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Kenmore Village Show: Mon 6th July - Fri 10th July 2026.

The Kenmore shows were very successful this year. The students all had a wonderful time performing. Many new friendships were forged between age groups. It is so lovely seeing our newer younger performers look up to the older students and we are so proud of how our older students nuture the young ones and set such a fine example in all ways.
