How to create a ballet bun

This is what you will need to create a ballet bun.

(you will also need hair spray or gel)

Step 1

Brush hair making sure there are no tangles and pull back into a neat pony tail in the

centre of your child's head. A bun looks best when it is just below the crown of the head,

so that when you look from the front you cannot see the bun. Use bobby pins, hair spray or

gel to secure any wispy pieces of hair or fringes.

Step 2

Twist the pony tail tightly

Step 3

Tightly wind the twisted hair around the centre of the pony tail.

Step 4

Secure this by using hair pins around the bun at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock.

Step 5

Cover your bun with a hair net that matches your hair colour. You may need to double it over as they can be quite large.

Step 6

Place more hair pins around the bun until it is secure.

Step 7

Finally, spray hair with hair spray smoothing doing any flyaways.
